During the annual meeting of Italian Federation of Philatelic Societies (FSFI), held on November 30th last, the president Piero Macrelli announced that he will resign on December 31st 2020, one year earlier than the expiry of the mandate (December 31st, 2021). The vice-president, Bruno Crevato-Selvaggi, will temporarily take over, who will have the task of guaranteeing ordinary management and preparing the elective Assembly for the three-year period 2022-2024.
As communicated by Macrelli himself, after 26 years of presidency, a long period full of work, commitments and achievements (including those of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Federation and publishing the 100th of the magazine), the time has come to leave room for others. The resigning president will not abandon philately, however, and we are happy about this. He will continue to chair the AICPM and, as he stated, to have fun with his collections and with the volumes yet to be published, including the one dedicated to Libya.
